Love

Something Interesting ...

"Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.”

Love is bigger than we are. It doesn't care about your flaws, your money or any amount of pressure. Love isn't chosen . . nor is it patient/kind/deliberate or hard.
Love strikes like lightening, unpredictable and irrefutable . . Hell you can even love people you don't like . . Marriage is a matter for the law, for rules and courts and property rights. In the present, alimony and the pre-nuptial agreements make it clear that marriage is all about contracts. But as we all know, marriages, whether arranged or not, may have little enough to do with real love.
Love is free . . Love cares what becomes of you because love knows that we are all interconnected. Love is inherently compassionate and empathic. Love knows that the "other" is also oneself. This is the true nature of love and love itself can not be manipulated or restrained. Love honors the sovereignty of each soul. Love is its own law . . therefore love is . . it's own truth.
This was brought to my attention this morning because someone else posted something under it. I just want to say that I never saw it when it was originally posted. I just wept for the way You described Love. It literally broke my heart to know that I am the only person I know (other than my children) that is capable of these intense feelings. The way you so perfectly say that "love cannot be manipulated or restrained" and "Love is inherently compassionate and empathetic." That Love is its own law ...... that really got to me. I just wanted to thank You for taking the time to expand on this post, and to say once again, You nailed it.
