It's odd. In New York City, where I am fortunate enough to live, all the main styles of pizza are thin crust. Not only that, but our pizza comes in two types that are eaten in two different ways. The first is a "basic" pizza that you can find by walking several blocks practically anywhere in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The crust is thin and soft and it is invariably eaten by folding the slice in half along its longest axis, allowing the diner who may well be eating it while walking down the street, to get a good control over the slice, letting him or her hold the slice away from garments while eating it to protect garments from the oil that drips from the tip of the slice. The second kind is also thin-crust. but the crust is closer to an unleavened, middle-eastern bread, firmer, crispier at the edges. Compared to its dollar-slice-ready cousin, the second form that is a specialty of many restaurants like Pizza Grupo, that put great attention into their pizza, is almost never folded and is eaten either with the fingers or even using utensils. New York, being New York, actually once had a "Deep-Dish" pizza restaurant called "Goldberg's Pizzaria," which featured a Pizza with a thick, bready, crust that was wonderfully topped with perhaps their best item being "The SMOG"—their own thick crust pizza topped with Sausage, Mushrooms, Onions, and Green peppers. It was sublime. Schrille Schlampen aller Länder, vereinigt euch! Ihr habt nichts zu verlieren als euren Kontakt mit Versagern!

Ah......give me the thin crust...….it's all about the toppings for me

Variety. But a basic crust that rises and is baked in a hot oven is best. But then i lie a deep dish Chicago style now and then. the really crispy thin cracker crust now and then too. but any in a wood fired oven takes them to the new level. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

Thick. For sure. Thin crust if fine if it's soft and chewy. Ed Zachary! Thin crust that snaps in two like a potato chip sucks the big one! It's the same theory as with cookies - soft and chewy. Snapping in two like a potato chip is for, well, potato chips and bacon. No shit .... Potato chip bacon is the only civilized way to eat bacon. Now you're going the 'insult' route? They'll get over it .... At least I'm not singing! Valid point. Hey, it's good to IMA back! No shit! She's a cutie and a smart ass.... Not to mention she's got a great ass! Welcome back IMA! They going to kiss and make up? Again ...... Make Women Female Again

For me its the total experience, crust is only part of it... Freshness of toppings, amount if cheese, baked to perfection

Personally, I like my pie hand tossed. Why do I get the feeling that this is a metaphor for something more serious and 'weighty'? “Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.”
