WDG

This is why you are "WDG"!! Misssing the heels

WDG

It seems you are coping well with lockdown and I am glad you have stayed healthy!

WOW . Your shoes are nice. I can see why you miss them. I would miss them as well. Thank You so much for giving us a look at a part of your life.

The one thing that I miss is time alone at my house. having someone here 24/7 and a new puppy is going to drive me nuts. I think I am really quite nuts enough for ten people lol.

I miss seeing ladies such as yourself dressed professionally. Now they wear sweat pants and always look frumpy.

You can always wear them around the house

A proper shoe whore I see.....I mean that affectionately I'm not a heel girl but my boots, loafers, and oxfords are so lonely right now.

From the reactions, missing your heels isn't so dumb ! And a lovely collection you have too.

It's exactly what I miss, the" dressing up" though my shoe closet is not as exquisite as yours.

I knew you were going to say that, aside from the being Japanese the floor was a dead giveaway. Just business: I notice wood floors and the condition thereof and draw conclusions from them. And shoes... you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes so a peek in a womans shoe cupboard...
There were no suprises. Did you ever actually wear the red peeps, as much as you adore them?

I miss.... many things, alas I can't blame Covid-19 for any of them. But my life is fundamentally of my own choosing so I cannot claim to be dreadfully unhappy.

It's good to "see" you again

I must be a freak because I miss being at home.

I am an 'essential full time worker' and after being there ever since this insanity started, in my state at least, March 23rd, I am about to lose my fucking mind completely!

I have to go into a job which I do not consider safe at all, where the basic precautions are not being enforced; no six foot distancing, or requiring masks on customers. No hazard pay either, while others get a nice $600.00 bonus for being at home and I have heard some bragging about how they will milk it as long as they can. Well, they can fucking get sick and die as far as I am concerned.

I sleep maybe three hours a night if I am lucky and I am 'this close' to just giving my notice and not giving a fuck about how I will make it through. And no H.R. and management don't give a fuck about how we feel.

The day I am scheduled to work and I don't show up will be the sign to them that I overdosed the night before because I finally fucking snapped. Just like that doctor in New York city. I am sure there are more that just are not being reported.

Cherish your ability to at least be somewhat safe in this nightmare. And YES, there will be a second even worse wave when people decide that things are OK again and stop being cautious.

Years ago, I traveled full time with a musical group. It was a marathon bus ride. Cold Col. Sanders chicken and warm Pepsi products. Pepsi was the tour sponsor. It was a no-no to drink any other brand products. Still to this day, I can't eat Kentucky Friend Rats or Drink Pepsi. A few years later, when I was working in recording studio, I was on the road for nearly five years. Living in hotels, eating in hotels and fast food places or where ever. Time zone changes, and the eating like I was on a roller coaster, hotel beds with not exactly comfortable sleeping conditions made for not so restful life. So I understand you not missing the travel.

Shoes, being retired are now toward the most comfortable and I hardly ever wear them in home. Pretty much it is sock or barefoot.

I learned years ago, that the way to a woman's heart, is to buy here at least 10 pairs of shoes a year. Does not matter if they fit or are really attractive. They coudl be combat boots, and still put a smile on a face. That does not look like it is such in your case. They have to be attractive and fit comfortably. You couodl make the foot fetish folks drool if you did a series of phots of just your feet/legs in your shoes. That coudl be supplemental income, just saying!

I was on stage at times. But part of the main crew. Start early and the last to leave.

I forgot that I had posted earlier. So, deleted the post before anyone saw it. It had started with how I completely miss my sanity now. But decided to follow the trend here and talk about my favorite footwear as I cannot wear them at work and do not go anywhere they would be appreciated. (If we could post pics on these blogs I would)

I do miss wearing my Carolina boots. I had them custom finished. They are all black and knee length. I had the stupid buckles that were made with them removed so they were more streamlined. I have a very used pair that has seen a lot of action, and one pair I am saving for when the old pair die an honorable death.

Nice shoe collection! For me, a CD, I have been wearing heels more often during this lockdown. I haven't dressed for some time before all this began, it feels I have to get my feet back into the swing of things but not as durable as before. I wear the Pleasers and Ellie (got that sexy 1950's look and lowcost), I wonder if those Jimmy Choos at $695 more comfortable (for that price they better be!)

Glad you’ve managed to recharge. The novelty of business travel soon wears off so glad you’ve been able to stay at home.

Like you I’ve been probably more in touch with my family (via calls) and friends. I’ve spoken to friends I haven’t called for quite a long time. However, I’ve missed seeing friends for a coffee and alike. Therefore it was amazing to go for a walk with one of my friends a week ago. It was raining, and it hasn’t rained for weeks(!), but we didn’t care as it was just soooo good to see someone outside your family.

Oh and I miss my healthy lungs. Even after nearly three months they aren’t 100% but that’s covid-19 for you. I’m running again so it isn’t too bad although I had to reach for my inhaler when going up a hill today! X
