My wife does genealogy and is quite expert at it. As the black sheep of the family I sometimes read the stories about an ancestor, the boss of Kansas City who punched out the judge. The horse thief that fled... My Great Grandmother that held off the KKK with a single shot. xxx for 3 days.
At school all the girls wanted to try an Indian, we didn't have any other races in the school at the time, just whites and a family of part Indian. Sometimes wonder I didn't get lynched.

Thank you for sharing a beautiful story...
