The ford auto company...and yes i am pissed

First off I have never been a dedicated dude when it comes to cars...
I'm not a ford guy..I'm not a Chevy guy..

So i dont have blind aligence to any company.

I have delivered to both plants though..I knew about the gm bailout before it was formally announced.

So i was really hestitant about buying a chevy..a company going bankrupt is likely to skim as much as possible.

So i bought a ford.( focus)..my roommate bought a ford.( fiesta)

And perhaps you know where this tread is going...

Yep it turns out to be the very car that ford knowingly put that faulty transmission in.

My roommate kept saying her 2 yr old car felt like the transmission was slipping?

There was no transmission dipstick...the only way to check the fluid level was to put it up on the rack..
I shit you not..

The dealership claimed the customer doesnt know what a slip really feels like and they have a mechanic dedicated to it? We needed to schedule an appointment.

Huh? I drive for a living..I know what slippage feels like.

So ford claimed a 2 yr old cars computer just needed an update..that was the cause of the slippage.

Huh?..

But we never got further than this...her goofy 18yr old totalled the car about a year after.

My car is too old to have this new almighty ford transmission that ford claimed gave you 40 mpg.

So yeah it now comes out in the wash that engineers at Ford told their bosses that these transmissions were junk.
The bosses pulled a " fight club" and put them in the fiestas and later versions of the focus anyway.

And even worse the government agency responsible for these things looked at the problem and didn't see anything wrong..they looked the other way because a recall or outright buy back would have cost ford tons of money..

Me...sitting here wondering which politican got a huge kickback from ford for this one.

Now there were no reported deaths..thank god..but lots of injuries..

One of them could have been my roommate.

Funny if i kill someone I go to jail. If a CEO knowingly put a defective part into a car and it kills someone....well it is just the cost of doing business.
Funny how cigarette companies got slammed by the gov for a cover up.
But car companies arent.

So what happens to ford now..to the ceo..to the higher ups that knew..how about the gov regulators that turned the other way..

Crickets...

Ford doesnt care..they are stopping the production of small cars. Gonna focus on trucks, electric vehicles and China.

Meanwhile look at the amount of customers they screwed over with this highly suspect transmission.

And people wonder how the wealthy stay wealthy..

Cause they get away with it..

People will still be brand loyal to ford

People want to assume companies and the government have our best interest at heart..

I've never met a company that wasn't ruthless or a politican that wasn't crooked.

So don't give blind loyality to any company
